Domain Parking.. Does It Work?.. My Tests And Results

Domain parking is one of those ideas that when you first hear about, you think;"That's too good to be true!".What is it?.Let's say you have a Domain name, but you don't have the time, money,or the technical skill,to develop your own website. You "rent" it out to a company who provides the website, the hosting ,and the advertising. What do you get out of it?.You get a share of the ad revenue your domain(s) generates. It is the internet equivalent of a land lease where the property owner retains title to the land but turns over the use of it in return for rent.Similarly;the land owner is responsible for the taxes, which in this case would be the annual renewal of the domain registration.

Of course the first, second, and third question is;..."how much money can I make doing this?".Well, I had the same question, as I had amassed a collection of domain names of varying quality that were just sitting around.Wouldn't it be great to just get checks in the mail!!!.Like most people I tried to do some research to see what the best company to go with would be.So I will be the crash test dummy for you,the reader!.

The first place that many people hear about is Go daddy, since they are the biggest domain registrar, and yes, they do have a domain parking service, which is heavily marketed on there website, like most of there products. In case you didn't know, most domain parking services are free to the domain owner;after all ,the parking company is taking the lions share of the revenue from your domain(s).I doubt that 2% of there customers ever see any revenue after subtracting the parking fee.I decided quickly that that product was a no-(Go daddy)bad pun intended!.But that still left plenty of other choices!.

This will have to be the end of the first chapter, but I intend to report on all the various services that I am testing. To learn more about my "adventures in parking" please take a minute to visit my website!.

10 Tips For A Successful Ppc Ad Campaign

1. When first starting out in the PPC search engines keep your bids close to $0.10 and never pay over $0.30 until you gain more experience. If you find yourself to low on certain keywords, just drop them and add more until you get your desired spots. Once you find a winner, raise your bids to get more traffic.

2. You are shooting for at least a 40% and ideally a 50% return on your advertising dollars. So if your selling a product that gives you a $20 commission, and a particular keyword takes 50 visitors to create a sale, than a 50% return would put your bid at no higher than $0.20 per click.

3. Fund your accounts with the lowest possible amount allowable. This will help you get started and get a feel for the system, without breaking the bank.

4. Never pay more than $50 on any particular ad without seeing a return on your investment. You need to either change the ad or start promoting a new product.

5. A great way to maximize your profits is to run two separate ads for the same product at the same time. This way you can see what ad is bringing in more sales. Drop the bad ad and add a new one until you are satisfied with the results.

6. When you decide what website or websites to promote, take the time to read the website and get familiar with it. Than pick your keywords and place your ads.

7. Make sure to keep up with your ads, watch them closely, and check your Affiliate Affiliate Bank account to see if the ad is pulling it’s weight.

8. Try to use your keywords in your ads as much as possible, it is known to give you a better conversion rate.

9. Add new keywords to your ads as you find new ones and get rid of the ones that are not producing. You need to maximize your profits whenever possible.

10. When you have an ad that’s producing nice for you always be looking for the next hit, this way you can have multiple streams of money coming in from different ads around the clock.

How To Increase Your Blog And Website Rankings The Easy Way

I have not really paid much attention to this method of link building until now, but have now decided to give it more attention after realizing how well this trick works. If you look around at the well-known Webmaster Forums you’ll find many people looking for a sponsor of templates they built. These Templates can be for forums, directories or blogs (in particular Wordpress Blogs). These designer design and build templates for the software of their choice and then release it for free.

Under the license terms a user of such a template needs to leave the sponsor links intact. These links are usually located in the footer. By finding sponsors for their templates these designers actually make money. If you are a good designer it might take you an hour or two to develop a nice looking template. You can easily sell 2 sponsored links on a design for approx. $35 and $100 each. Depending on where you live this can be a significant source of income.

From a sponsor point of view this means if the template is promoted well, he get a lot of back links from other blogs. Imagine a free template with your link in it used 100 times – this can be significant if those blogs grow in popularity and Google Page Rank. The real beauty of this “seo trick” is not to concentrate on the publicly available sponsorships you find in forums, but to identify a designer who delivers good work and to contact this designer and to work with them directly. Bypass the middleman, bypass the competition.

In general this seems to be an underdeveloped market with high link building potential. If used in a mix of normal link building and SEO it can be a great tool to make your blog or website more popular. With Google and other search engines becoming more difficult to deal with you have to become more creative if you want to rank high in search engines.
