Another thing that I did was cut off my cable television. For me, TV was a tremendous distraction during the day and it was always tempting to flip it on during lunch. I began tracking the time I spent each day in front of the television and it was getting out of control, so I made the difficult decision to eliminate it completely. Over the course of that next year, my income doubled and has risen dramatically each year since.
Last but not least, buy a whiteboard and some dry erase markers. I have a huge whiteboard on the wall by my home office desk where I write down ideas, daily stuff that needs to be done, etc. This has really helped in the organization department and also with brainstorming. Highly recommended.
