The Next Big Thing In Web Development

How To Make Your Site ‘Mobile’ Compatible

According to GSM Association there were over 2.4 billion mobile devices that were Internet compatible circulating the mobile networks by mid 2006. This means that cell phones are in the process of becoming one of the most used ways to not only communicate but to receive information. While sitting in traffic, waiting for the train, or at a meeting, one can check their email, sports stats, stocks, order products, and even get directions to a restaurant in seconds. To top it off, it all comes from your mobile device no bigger than your palm.

How It Came To Be

The Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) granted .mobi as the suffix to Web sites designed for mobile phones, PDA’s, Blackberry’s and Sidekicks. Then 13 of the leading mobile and Internet organizations registered with Mobile Top Level Domain (mTLD) to begin access in May 2006. In no particular order five of the leading organizations are: Google, Microsoft, Nokia, Telecom and T-Mobile.

The idea boomed throughout other organizations and by March 2007 the .mobi domain names has increased to 400,000.

Before You Get Started, Keep In Mind

Before you get started keep in mind that these hand-held devices are decreasingly smaller than any PC or Mac screen. Therefore, less information will be available to be read on your mobile device. Web developers must choose and format the most important web information.

Getting Started

Check out the Worldwide Web Consortium’s Mobile Web Initiative and its “Mobile Web Best Practices” document. Additionally if you have compatible mobile phone contact your service provider find out how their .mobi site works.

Once you’re ready to test your mobile site try it out for analysis at http://ready.mobi/index.html

This is a great, new and exciting way to stay ahead of your competition. Open up to the new technologies of tomorrow for better business success.

Make Your Small Business Thrive & Win

The advantage that small businesses have over the big boys is that they can make quick decisions in response to changes in the market place. Large corporations have to have a meeting about a meeting before they can have the real meeting to agree a change in direction!

Create Partnerships

Why not create partnerships with other businesses that are in a complementary business but do not compete with your own? Say you are a web designer. You can partner up with someone who provides SEO work. You benefit because you can get your customers websites higher on the search engines and in return they can provide you with leads of people they help that have shoddy websites.

Why Not Merge With Your Main Competitor?

By combining your businesses your buying power increases and you will be able to make both businesses leaner and fitter. If your competitor is smaller than you, why not take him over and remove him from the equation? This will allow you to increase your prices and therefore make higher profits.

If you want to increase your offering why not merge with or acquire a business that can enhance and increase the variety of your offering.

New Technology can Save you Money

Embrace new technology to make your business more efficient. Admittedly this does cost money in the short term but the longer term benefits could be huge. It could be possible to get more done with less people.

Will that be Cash, Cheque or Credit Card?

Do you offer the ability to take payments with credit cards? Why not? By offering many different ways to pay you can make it easier for your customers to buy.

The supplier I use is a company called 2checkout.com. There is a one off set up fee and no monthly charges. They can accept payments in most currencies and charge only a small percentage each time a customer buys. No transactions equal zero charges!

May you live long and prosper.

Treat Your Employees Like You Treat Your Customers - With Corporate Awards

As business owners, or as part of a leading management team, we've been conditioned year after year to focus on the customer. In fact, we're constantly reminded by the old "The customer is always right," or "Satisfied customers equal success" adage. While that advice can hardly be argued against, one facet of the business isn't always held in such high esteem - and that's the work force.

Some companies have already equated a well rewarded work force with increased productivity and work gratification, but an increasing number of them have yet to understand the significance of a corporate award strategy. Often, financial compensation for labor is seen as sufficient. But research has shown that when employee satisfaction is approached as aggressively as customer satisfaction, companies place themselves well ahead of their competitors who don't put this strategy in place. Work attendance increases - work environments become healthier - work morale rises - and yes, even sales increase! These perks are the direct result of employee recognition.

Encouraging employee performance with awards isn't as costly as you might think, and with a little "out of the box" thought, you can reap the benefits of administering corporate awards for even more ROI.

For example, while engraved mahogany plaques, gold pens, and coffee mugs are certainly appropriate, a night out on the town's floating casino or tickets to a lively local event are received just as well (if not better). Other ideas in addition to traditional achievement certificates or pendants could include a year's worth of free lunches or even a full interview in the local newspaper.

These suggestions may or may not intrigue you, but the idea here is to spend as much time and energy toward rewarding your own employees as you spend toward your customers. Although your customers and employees play different roles in the success of your business, they both contribute to its longevity.

Seo - Why Traffic Exchanges Are Out Of Style

Traffic exchanges used to be a hot buzz word when it came to search engine optimization but not the entire concept is out of style. These were sites that used guarantee a certain number of visitors to your blog or web page. Usually they will guarantee a number in the hundreds or the thousands. There are both free traffic exchanges and one that you pay for on a sliding scale. The idea is that you buy this lump of visitors to your site in a package that is priced accordingly ($10,000 visitors for $40 for example). Most of these companies also guarantee a viewing of your site for free.

These sounds like a deal but of course there is a hitch. For each visitor that views your blog you have to view someone else’s blog in the same way.

Here is how the free version of this works -- When you register your blog on a traffic exchange, you will be asked to create an account and be given a code. Each time you visit someone else’s blog, you earn credits to your account. A timer measures the twenty or thirty seconds that you must remain looking at the other blog. After times up you enter a code that moves you to the next site. The more blogs you visit the more visitors your blog receives.

Another drawback to using traffic exchanges is many of them do not give you a one to one credit for viewing other blogs. Usually you would have to visit 20 sites to get 10 visits to your own site. Obviously this can be time consuming because you only get as much traffic as you care to visit. One way to optimize this type of time is to consider it research and see if there is anyway of linking to the blogs that you must visit. Many of these traffic exchanges also have surplus traffic that they will sell you for as little as a cent per visitor. This is how you can end up spending ten dollars to earn a thousand visitors. The problem is that these visitors are in no way targeted to your blog.

AJAX & SEO - Are They Compatible?

Many travel and holiday websites are now utilizing AJAX. AJAX is not new, but it is developing into a major buzzword in IT departments and at web developers. It's also a potential source of friction between IT/development and marketing.

AJAX is short for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML, a development technique designed to create interactive web applications. AJAX makes web pages faster loading and more responsive by exchanging small amounts of data with the server so that the whole page does not have to be reloaded each time the user requests a change. This is meant to increase the web page's interactivity, speed, and usability. One of the "classic" AJAX applications that most people are familiar with is Google Maps.

There are some major benefits to implementing AJAX on a travel or holiday websites. It can assist in delivering an improved user experience through faster loading, improved page interactivity and enhanced visual presentation. There is also the benefit of reduced bandwidth usage as smaller packets of data are downloaded rather than whole web pages.

However, there is a price to pay for delivering this enhanced user experience. The problem is that search engines can't see your AJAX delivered content or navigation as they are unable to run the Javascript code necessary to generate the HTML content. If the search engines cannot access your content or follow your navigational links you could be seriously restricting your site's exposure in the search engines.

There is no doubt that AJAX is here to stay, at least until something better comes along. It's also likely that the major search engines will become more adept at spidering and indexing AJAX generated content. However, until they do, the simple solution is to avoid using AJAX where it is not needed on your site. If you do intend to use AJAX make sure that your IT department or web developer create real links and HTML content to feed the spiders with.

Web Hosting - Are You Getting Your Moneys Worth?

Web hosting. If the term means anything to you at all then you either already have a hosting provider or are looking for one. Either way I hope to educate you on some of the basics to look for in a hosting company. Personal, business, free, ecommerce or discount an educated consumer makes all the difference.

When reviewing hosting providers most people wouldn't put this point first, but I do. Support. Yes, most companies have some type of support, but not all are equal. First and foremost is availability. Support staff should be available 24/7 by phone and email. Response time should also be quick and wait times should be announced and published on the web site. Technicians should be friendly, educated and speak your language.

After support the next most important set of things to look for in a hosting company are features. If the company can't provide what you need then you might as well look elsewhere. Some basics are of course capacity and bandwidth, but more importantly is the ability to do what you need to with your site. Ecommerce, blogging, forums, scripting and databases are much more important anymore then the amount of space you get.

Last but not least is price. When I say price I don't mean to suggest you get the cheapest plan out there. You should find the plan that has the features you need and is affordable. Don't get more than you need simply because you can. There are many hosting companies out there with bargain basement pricing. They can do this because your server is in their basement next to their washer and dryer. Be careful who you do business with and remember you get what you pay for.

In summary I just want to point out that the hosting environment is changing. With blogs and the like becoming more prevalent hosting companies need to adapt to stay in business. You as the consumer need to be educated in what you need and don't be afraid to make a switch if you have to.

Seo - Pagerank And Link Popularity Are Not The Same Thing.

A definition of both P It's important to note that Google PageRank is not the same thing as link popularity.

Two concepts that are commonly confused when it comes to search engine optimization are page rank and link popularity. Page rank focuses only on the quantity and popularity of your links in the search engines. Link popularity however refers to the “quality” of your links. These are not interchangeable turns as Pagerank is actually a term that is part of the definition of Link Popularity.

All of the major search engines’ algorithms do assess link popularity in one way or another. The two main types of links that seem best to boost your link popularity are links form relevant categories in big Internet directories and links from similar sites to your own that are focused on the same keyword phrases that your site is. These sites are considered to be high quality sites.

If you want to avoid sabotaging yourself then stay away from links that the search engines might consider to be low quality such as Free For All Sites. You are particularly cautioned against using one of those “Link to 1000 Targeted Sites for Free” type programs as they will only serve to lower your link popularity in the eyes of the search engine. Although they might increase your page rank temporarily (maybe for just a few days) this type of link farming might actually completely sabotage your link popularity. It’s just not worth it. Never do anything to sacrifice your link popularity which is much more crucial to your website’s overall success.

Usually there is no need to sweat over you link popularity if you have not done anything that the search engines may not like such as hire a company that specializes in link farming to enhance your SEO. Offering a quality product or service at a reasonable cost is usually the best way to get other quality sites to link to you.

Dog

Dogs in both the East and West are loyal, faithful and honest and always stick to their firm codes of ethics. It's generally quite trustworthy itself -- except for the occasional little white lies the Dog tells in order to make things go more smoothly. The Dog makes a wonderful, discreet and loyal friend and is an excellent listener. This Sign tends to root for the underdog and its keen sense of right and wrong makes it duty-bound to the core. The Dog's motto seems to be, Live right, look out for the little people and fight injustice whenever possible.

Dogs can also be rather dogmatic, too. They don't go in for light social banter; instead, they go straight for home, discoursing on the topics that are most important to them. At these times the Dog's narrow-minded or stubborn side can become apparent; this Sign has trouble staying light and calm when an important issue is at stake. This Sign can also be very temperamental; mood swings characterize its emotional life and often the Dog needs to run off to be alone in order to recuperate. Part of the problem is the result of this Sign's load of irrational fears that turn into niggling anxieties that turn into hurt feelings and occasional grouchiness. This sensitive Sign needs to warm up to others over time and gradually learn to trust them. Without that trust as a foundation, Dogs can be judgmental and coarse.

The Dog's discerning nature does make it an excellent business person, one who can turn that picky, guarded nature into a keen sense of the truth of another's motives. Where love is concerned, Dogs often have a tough time finding the right match. Dogs need to work on controlling their irrational worries and would also be well-served to relax their mile-high standards, which can sometimes wind up alienating the ones they love.

The most compatible match for a Dog is the Tiger or the Horse.

Public Domain Works - How Do I Benefit?

Because works that are in the public domain are free for the public to use, however they see fit, those works can be used to create new products – or even sold as they are for profit.

As an entrepreneur, you can use public domain works to add to an existing product line, or to create one if you don’t already have any products of your own. If you do not change the work in anyway, the author of the work remains the same. In other words, you can sell it, but you can’t put your name on it.

If you edit the work, however, or include bits and pieces of public domain work to create a new product, your name goes on it, and you can copyright it. This is one of the absolute fastest ways, next to purchasing resell rights, to create a product of your very own. While purchasing resell rights to a product may be faster, works that are in the public domain and used to create new products may prove to be more valuable – meaning you can charge more.

Using public domain works not only saves the time that may be involved in product creation, but it will also save you money when it comes to product creation or development. The work has been done already. Furthermore, if you know where to look, there are millions of public domain works that can be obtained freely.

When it comes to information, there is one solid fact that will never change. Information is information. It rarely changes. It may become outdated, and no longer useful – but it doesn’t usually change. Furthermore, outdated information can be ‘freshened up’ easily enough, and information that is no longer useful may also be made useful once again.

Remember, also, that public domain works does not just pertain to written materials. Millions of Films, music, photos, and even inventions are in the public domain – just waiting for some enterprising individual to come along, dust them off, and make them useful once again!

Domain Parking.. Does It Work?.. My Tests And Results

Domain parking is one of those ideas that when you first hear about, you think;"That's too good to be true!".What is it?.Let's say you have a Domain name, but you don't have the time, money,or the technical skill,to develop your own website. You "rent" it out to a company who provides the website, the hosting ,and the advertising. What do you get out of it?.You get a share of the ad revenue your domain(s) generates. It is the internet equivalent of a land lease where the property owner retains title to the land but turns over the use of it in return for rent.Similarly;the land owner is responsible for the taxes, which in this case would be the annual renewal of the domain registration.

Of course the first, second, and third question is;..."how much money can I make doing this?".Well, I had the same question, as I had amassed a collection of domain names of varying quality that were just sitting around.Wouldn't it be great to just get checks in the mail!!!.Like most people I tried to do some research to see what the best company to go with would be.So I will be the crash test dummy for you,the reader!.

The first place that many people hear about is Go daddy, since they are the biggest domain registrar, and yes, they do have a domain parking service, which is heavily marketed on there website, like most of there products. In case you didn't know, most domain parking services are free to the domain owner;after all ,the parking company is taking the lions share of the revenue from your domain(s).I doubt that 2% of there customers ever see any revenue after subtracting the parking fee.I decided quickly that that product was a no-(Go daddy)bad pun intended!.But that still left plenty of other choices!.

This will have to be the end of the first chapter, but I intend to report on all the various services that I am testing. To learn more about my "adventures in parking" please take a minute to visit my website!.

Seo - Branding And Your Keywords

If you are starting a home base Internet business you might be thinking, “What does branding have to do with me.” You are never too small as a business to start thinking about branding. For one thing, your brand should reflect two or three keywords that people search for when they look for products or services on the Internet. Branding is an important concept to grip simply because it summarizes everything about your business that will leave a lasting impression. Very often the titles and phrases that you come up with to brand your site are exactly what your customers will be looking for when they do that search, so taking the time to focus your brand and define what your company is about really helps make your SEO goals clear. Yet another intention of branding is about making your customer remember you even if they visit your site and decide not to buy anything that particular day. If you are branded properly then they will remember and come back for a second look and likely a sale.

A good example of a good brand is Kleenex. It is hard not to think of facial tissues without thinking about Kleenex. Another classic example is Coca Cola. It is hard not to think about cola without that brand name coming to mind. You need to think long and hard and with the creativity of an experienced market advertising executive to come up with the name, catch phrase or clever URL that will stick in the memory of a potential customer. A cleverly designed site or a memorable logo can perform the same kind of function.

Branding is an essential component of all sales and marketing strategies and it is best not to ignore it. Branding is what makes you unique and differentiates you from your competition. You might not think, especially if you are a small Internet business, that branding does not really apply to you. However branding is the very foundation of marketing and also SEO techniques.

Funding New Business/Product Without High Cost Loans

One of the tallest hurdles facing new businesses and entrepreneurs is funding their new venture and the fact remains that securing loans for any new project is next to impossible. Many people are willing to put themselves in debt by maxing out their credit cards, using their savings and borrowing from family and friends to come with enough money to get their project off the ground.

Face it, getting a new product to the market takes time and money and most times the money is going to be hard to come by. It is the experience of many entrepreneurs that it’s nearly impossible to get a loan for a new venture unless you prove to can the bank that you really don’t need the money. However, if you don’t need the cash, many banks will trip over each other to get their cash into your hands.

There is a way to fund your project without borrowing money from banks, friends and family. While venture capitalists sometimes want more than a piece of your business, they will want to see one of their representatives involved in how your business operates before they put money into it. And, many times if things don’t work out the way they think it should, they can pull their money out leaving you broke.

The best way to launch any new product or business, regardless of its scope, is to design a program that is self-funding, bringing in money for product development, packaging, marketing, advertising and sales. You believe in your product so strongly that you are willing to put all of your available financial resources into it, but there’s no reason you should have to. There is a way to find the funding without leaving you and your family without grocery money.

Finding people, friends, relatives and total strangers with money waiting to be invested in a good product or in a valid business is never difficult. However, you will have to show them a good return for their willingness to help you get the business off the ground.

Seo - Will Too Many Visuals Hurt Your Seo?

You have probably noticed there is a trend to add less photographs rather than more with websites. This is because it is now common knowledge that many search engine spiders read photographs as blank space. This is why it is so important to add a photographic caption beneath your website so that the spiders have something to index.

It is always a good idea to add images and photographs to your site to give it visual appeal. As you are a publisher, you might want to think about magazines that you like, and mimic the layout and look of those. Try and think of each web site page as a page in a glossy advertorial and you will get the idea of what people find the most attractive.

When it comes to images, less is usually more, not only for aesthetic reasons, but also because certain types of images can cause your web site to act sluggish. A slow site can be perceived as a dysfunctional one and dysfunction of all kinds is read as bad SEO by the search engines. Two main graphic types take forever to load - Java and Javascript. If you hire a designer request that he or she avoid these applications.

Also having a very large image is not always the best choice for your website. One great thing about web pages is that the smaller the .jpg, the better it often looks. Also thanks to such tools as Adobe PhotoShop, it is easier than ever to improve the resolution and appearance of a badly taken photograph so that you can still use it on your site.

You can hire a graphic designer or you can add simple .jpg images by yourself. Remember that as a rule of thumb, the more graphics and images that you have on your site, the longer it is going to take to load. This is just going to frustrate your customer and perhaps have them move onto a similar site that isn't as "heavy" for their browser to deal with. Over time this type of aversion to a site can affect its page rankings.

SEO - Making Money With SEO Content

How can knowing SEO techniques help you make money? There are many ways that a site that is fully optimized with SEO techniques can generate streams of income for you. For example, let’s say you want to build a site about “How to Search Engine Optimize Your Website.” This does not mean I have to directly sell SEO programs or offer to search engine optimize people’s web sites for them. Instead I could -

Become an affiliate by providing links on my site to sites that sell SEO programs, SEO services and ebooks about search engine optimizing.

• Create my own informational product about SEO and create my own affiliate sales links for it using commonly available programs

• Offer advertising to SEO gurus who might want to rent a page in my web space to sell their products

• Charge for an ebook that tells people everything they need to know about search engine optimization

• Charge for enrollment into a subscription to a newsletter that contains information about search engine optimization techniques

• Create an online community by adding blogs, chats, forums and bulletin boards about SEO to my site.

• Charge for membership in an exclusive online community that offers unique information about SEO

• Subscribe to pay per click search engine programs

Collect the email addresses and other data about people who log into my site looking for information about SEO and sell those addresses to companies that need the contacts.
Lead people to toll free number or live advice site such as Kasamba or Keen where you can charge by the minute for consulting on the topic of SEO.

Once your business is up and running you could also consider becoming a drop shipper which allows people to automatically order products off of your site that are delivered by a central distributor. In this scenario your well search engine optimized copy and blogs helps you to sell by proxy.

Evaluate A MLM Business Lead

The MLM business has been around for quite some time. With the introduction and rapid use of the internet, though, MLM business has become very popular. When it comes to looking at and evaluating a MLM business lead, a person has to be very serious or they could end up losing out.

MLM or multi level marketing is a concept that is widely used on the internet for internet business. MLM once had quite a bad reputation because people started abusing the idea and created a spin off, which became known as a pyramid scheme.

The main distinction between a pyramid scheme and a genuine MLM business lead is that an MLM will have products to sell and have a solid business background. A pyramid scheme, on the other hand, simply is all about signing people up and having them pay to sign up which is where the money comes from.

Besides making sure the opportunity you are looking at is not a pyramid scheme, you should also look at a few other things.

You need to seriously look at the company. Make sure it is a solid company with a good product and good ideas. You may want to talk with people or do research into the company.

You should also look at how you are paid. You should be able to make a good amount of money through selling the products without having to recruit anyone. Of course, recruiting is going to be where the most money is found, but initially, you should be able to profit from your efforts alone.

Lastly, if you have to pay anything upfront without getting anything in return then it is not a good idea to get started with the company. You should also not have to make purchases with the company in order to make any money.

Getting a good MLM business lead is something that you can easily do because there are many good companies out there. The bottom line, though, is you have to evaluate a MLM business lead before just jumping into it because there still are some scams out there that can waste your time and cost you money.

Enhancing Meta Tags May Not Enhance SEO

A discussion of why enhancing meta tags simply does not always work as an effective form of search engine optimization for some sites.

One thing that is very puzzling to both expert and novice SEO marketers alike is the fact that adding meta-tags to a site may not always work. This is one of the big mysteries when it comes to dealing with search engine algorithms.

The main problem is that there are really two types of search engines. There are internal search engines and public search engines. They operate differently and search for different criteria when it comes to determining page rankings, which can make the life of a SEO expert difficult.

The truth is that the addition of meta-tags to the site seems to work best for the internal search engines. These search engines sift through the pages or products on your site and help narrow down the search results to the most relevant ones. Unfortunately, a public search engine such as Google performs a little differently. The database of Google for instance contains basically every page on the web and all of them contain keyword-maximized meta-tags that work in the vendor’s interest, not Google’s. For this reason it is a bit in question whether or not Google works with meta-tags at all. This is because the website owner usually works at cross interests with Google – manipulated keywords in the meta-tag so that they can draw visitors to their site. Google, on the other hand, is more concerned with providing visitors with an accurate library. It is only concerned with showing relevant pages and the web master would like his or her pages to be show whether they are relevant or not.

This is why changing meta-tags or adding them is not necessarily a rock solid SEO solution for increasing your popularity with the search engines and especially the larger ones like Google that may not be interested in meta-tags at all.

Costliest Copywriting Mistake #1: Underestimating The Value Of Ad Copy

Why do some salespeople sell like gangbusters while others fall flat on their face? Because what they say, and how they say it, is everything.

The same with advertising copy. Your copy is your surrogate salesperson. And the way it is written has everything to do with whether or not your ad sells, your website converts, your business succeeds.

The difference between under-performing copy and brilliant copy can translate into many thousands of dollars over time. Bad copy can actually have the opposite effect of damaging your image and suppressing sales.

Yet many advertisers don't get this. Copy is an afterthought. They spend extraordinary amounts of time, energy and money setting up a business, then doom it to failure with poorly written, cheaply bought or crudely constructed homegrown copy.

It's not enough just to be out there. Your copy has to work hard, really hard, to grab attention, communicate clearly, convey benefits, overcome skepticism, outfox the competition, generate excitement, exude energy and charm, and close the deal...all within a short span of time! Just like a star salesperson would.

It takes ability, experience and time to craft copy like this -- to research, write and rewrite it to achieve exactly the desired result. That's why exceptional copy comes at a price. But one that will repay you many times over.

I can't tell you how many clients come to me after throwing away their money while trying to save it, hiring cut-rate, self-proclaimed copywriters who are big on promises and short on results.

Lesson: don't hire anyone until you've seen their work. Note what businesses have entrusted their brands to them. Take the time to read their copy. See if it sells you.

And don't be afraid to invest in outstanding, professionally written copy. It's all a part of doing business. A very critical part.

6. When you decide what website or websites to promote, take the time to read the website and get familiar with it. Than pick your keywords and place your ads.

7. Make sure to keep up with your ads, watch them closely, and check your Affiliate Affiliate Bank account to see if the ad is pulling it’s weight.

Low cost web hosting

If you are an individual who wants to show off your interests, special qualities, hobbies, e.t.c. to your friends or anybody outside; then it is the best idea to go for a low cost web hosting or even a free web hosting.

Even for small businesses, low cost web hosting would be the best option to get the maximum exposure for their company, their products and their services. As we all know web hosting is the must for any type of business whether it is small or big. But putting in huge amounts in web hosting for smaller or start up companies is not viable in the most cases and hence cheap web hosting is the great solution for this problem.

Also if it's your first website, a personal page or many other factors you may choose to go the lost cost web hosting route. In order to have a good website though, there are some things you need to be aware of and look for in a low cost web hosting provider. They are:

1. Storage:

Especially if you want images with your low cost web hosting solution, storage is important. Many low cost hosting services are free for the first 10mb and then start billing you in order to get more storage. Find a host that has at least 50mb of storage so that you don't risk running out. While 50 MB might not sound like a lot, many of the sites you visit each day likely aren't much larger then that in size. For starting out this is more then adequate space.

2. Advertisements

Being a low cost web hosting solution, the ISPs some how have to make money, so ads are expected. Lots of low cost web hosting solutions though go overboard with Popup and float-ins, as well as banner ads and plenty more. Try and find a low cost web hosting provider that has non obtrusive advertising. Generally the number of ads goes hand in d hand with just how low the price is. So a Dollar a month web hosting or free hosting you can expect a lot of ads.

In short, you need to find a safe low cost web hosting solution that provides you with plenty of storage and no over the top advertising. This way you are ensured to have pleasant experience having your site with low cost web hosting. Also don't forget it's not just your experience but those of your visitors as well, if you're limited to what you can have on your site, or there are hundreds of ads flying at your visitors screen, you'll have a hard time stopping them from clicking the back button.

Seo - The Drawbacks Of Employing Seo

You probably shouldn’t embark on an SEO (search engine optimization) campaign if you have a business that is very generic. Sometime SEO techniques are a waste of time on business that are mass marketed on the web. This is because any search terms that you could find are likely to be buried deep in the page rankings. Examples of online businesses that are commonly glutted with too many SEO articles are mortgage, loans, casinos, sex, insurance, health, airfare, hotels, psychics, business-to-business products, home business and dating. SEO works best for sites that are targeted by a niche topic or product that is narrower in its scope.

Another thing to think about is that not all sites are suited to search engine-optimized copywriting. Some sites that sell simple products like light bulbs or toilet paper simply don't require that much text on their pages.

Another problem is that adding pages of spider food for the search engines in the form of SEO paragraphs could ruin the look and tone of your site. It could also degrade the central message that you are trying to get across with your copywriting and also with your visuals. If you are undecided about which comes first, people friendly or SEO friendly copy, people friendly copy is probably what will get you the most hits in the long run. This is because most people recognize SEO copy when they see it and resent the nature of its hard sell. For instance if you are selling products to individuals who hate big business, they would be very offended by copy strewn obviously with keywords.

Yet another thing to think about it that search engine optimization can also be a time consuming and expensive process. Often it means writing twenty SEO articles about each keyword in order to open new portals for the search engines to find. This can be a lot of work and may entail the hiring of professional copywriting services.

Getting Social Bookmarking Done Automatically!

We all know that back links are "life blood" that get a site ranked higher in the search engines. So,what exactly is Social Bookmarking? It's a public list of your favorites. Not all your favorites, just the favorites you want to share with others. You can add your favorite website to a public list and retrieve it from any computer. This process is done on someone else's server, not your computer!

If you haven't seen a Social Bookmarking site - go to one of the most popular sites Delicious. The Social Bookmarked tags are the most interesting feature of these sites. And thats not all either.

Finding other people with the same interests via bookmarked tags as you is always a good way to meet interesting friends. There were (and still are) lots of bookmark managers and browser tools to help keep track of the hundreds and thousands of links people amassed. Social bookmarking is a way of showing what interests you share with the rest of web kind. How To Put Social Bookmarking on Autopilot!

you'll want to share you're newly found method of communication with others. Basically Social Book marketing sites allow users to create a set of content bookmarks. These bookmarks are organized by tags which are (usually) arbitrary words or phrases the user can assign to content. Check out http://www.trafficwebsecrets.com/socialbookmarking/bookmarking_demon.html.

Social bookmarking is all about sharing and exposure and if done properly- you can be as aggressive as you want to be about sharing information. Balancing being ethical and providing a useful service to others with promoting your own social tagged content enables you to be as aggressive as you like. If you don't put notes on your bookmarked tags - use the comments field for that purpose. The latest technique is using social bookmarking to get one way back links. Put Social Bookmarking on Autopilot!
